The Chambers Galleries include the Rotunda, Cross, Junction, Corner, Corridor and Hall. These 6 small rooms can be combined to make different gallery layouts. Each of the 6 rooms is about the same size and has a small capacity on its own, but they can be connected in a flexible way to make galleries with up to 12 rooms.
You can see a map of the various Chambers Gallery rooms below, and a couple of examples of how these rooms can be combined.
There are 6 different rooms and these can be combined in a variety of ways:
The rotunda and hall are the most spacious rooms. Several halls can be added together in a line to make one large hall. You can see some examples of layouts in the map images below, but any combination is possible.
The décor in the gallery can be selected before you start adding your exhibition content. It is possible to choose the floor and wall materials in each room, as well as the materials for the door and window frames, and the skirting at the base of the walls.
You can see some images of the gallery below.
Each individual room has capacity for between 11 and 16 wall exhibits (usually used for pictures and videos). The hall has space for 3 floor exhibits and the Rotunda and Cross have space for 1 floor exhibit (usually used for sculptures and other 3D objects).
If you have a quarterly subscription then you have the option of customizing the layout of wall and floor positions, and you will also be able to increase the gallery capacity. Alternatively, you can use The Chambers Galleries as a starting point for creating a unique custom-made gallery and make changes to the space in any way that you wish.
The basic wall and floor positions are shown on the map below.
